vol.75 ヤーコンジュースは野菜嫌いの子供のために存在価値を持つ？

昨日のＮＨＫスペシャル”好きなものだけ食べたい。家庭の食卓は今便秘と肥満”を見ました。
孫と同居しているお陰で、野菜を食べない子供の話はしばしば耳にし、深刻な話と受けとめています。
会社のすぐ側に小学校と中学校があり、子供の体型も漠然とですが、いつも見ています。
肥満児が増えているのが気になり、小学生に学校で野菜作りをさせたら一挙両得だと思ったりします。
このような事も背景にあり、”子供のためにあり続ける企業でありたい”との話も社内で出ます。

ヤーコンは栄養成分の面からはオリゴ糖のかたまりで、成分が特化している点で個性的な野菜です。
しかし、風味、色調、味の面からは、甘味のある果物といった感じで、個性のない野菜と言えそうです。

しかし、多くの野菜を美味しく飲むための強力な影の主役としては最適です。
野菜不足の子供達に”美味しく飲む野菜ジュースを提案したい”と今企業として考えています。
このような私達の志はいづれ実現するでしょう。しかし美味しく飲む野菜ジュースを発売したとしても
究極的には母親の問題であり、母親が野菜好きにならなければ問題解決にならないでしょう。
