vol.49 松下幸之助の太平洋戦争敗北見解に敬服
松下幸之助は物づくり人づくりに長け、日本人の５人に入る偉人だと尊敬しています。
１月１０日付けの日経新聞に作家の津本陽氏が書いておられます。
第二次世界大戦で敗北を喫した軍部の指導者と、
明治の４５年間で日本を世界の五大強国にまで繁栄させた維新の元勲達を比較する。
前者の軍の指導者達は、両親のもとで勉学に励み、難関を突破して士官学校、兵学校の生徒となり、
卒業して就職するときは将校となり、多数の部下から敬礼を受けた。
優秀者はさらに陸海軍大学校に入り支配者となった。
彼らは学問と演習しか知らず、社会の実相に触れなかったために、実戦を演習と取り違え、
多数の国民を死に追いやり自滅した。
一方、後者（維新の元勲）は社会の辛や甘さを知り尽くしていた。
徳川２６０年余りの間、下積みの生活を強いられ、昇進の見込みのない暗黒の人生を
代々重ねてきた下級武士たちであった。
彼らは押えつけられていたエネルギーを動乱期に一気に噴出させた。
彼らが出世して指導者になると戦争すれば勝った。負ける戦争はしなかった。
恵まれた形で地位が上がり、日本の陸海軍を率いた将校たちとは現実認識が全く違っていたと
松下幸之助の見る目は厳しくもシンプルであります。
先に本欄で、日露戦争に勝った事が太平洋戦争に負けた遠因であり、戦後世界第二の
経済大国になったことが、今日の日本社会の体たらくを招いたのでなければと思いながら
書きました。成功体験は貴重で大切なことですが、一方で誤判断のもとにもなります。
時代が変わり人が変われば尚更のことです。松下翁の物の見方・考え方には頭が下がります。

日本の偉人、小生は３人知っています。
物づくりでは、小生も、松下幸之助をあげます。
思想の面では、横井小楠です。明治維新の青写真を描いた男です。
（新潮新書 横井小楠 徳永洋著 ６８０円 一度、ぜひお読みになってください。）
政治の世界では、前にも挙げました、上杉鷹山です。
偉人に共通するのは、人づくりに長けていることだと思います。
そして、「我」を捨てていること。つまり、「煩悩」、俗っぽく言えば「ど欲」がないことです。
松下幸之助は、大金持ちになりましたが、それは、結果であって目的ではないと小生は考えています。
明治維新の立て役者が何人もいますが、皆、「我」を捨てていたから、国民の犠牲を最小限に抑えて、大改革を成し遂げることができたのでしょう。
一方、先の大戦では、政治家、高級官僚、軍上層部ともに、「ど欲」のかたまりの連中ばかり。
国民の犠牲など一切心が痛まない、単に虫けらがコロコロ死ぬだけで痛くも痒くもない、という輩が、方針決定したところに、悲劇があった、と、小生は思っています。
彼らは、米国と戦争したら必ず負けることを知っていた。
軍では、山本五十六が、それを口にした。暗殺される危険が出て、しばらく安全は場所（軍艦）に身を寄せた。
皆、同様な思いで、口にしなかっただけ、と、小生は思います。
また、和平交渉しても、妥協策は、大変屈辱的なものにならざるを得ず、妥協策を通そうとすれば、暗殺されずとも、失脚は目に見えている。
歴史がそれを証明している。
キリスト教十字軍とイスラムの戦争で、和平交渉に当たった両者の全権大使の行く末を見れば明らかじゃないか。
そんな貧乏くじを引いてどうする。定年まで、そんなにないじゃないか。
ここは突っ走れ。血気盛んな若手将校をたきつけろ。延命策を採ろう。開戦だ。
これで、気が「楽」になる。行け行けドンドン。何も考えなくてよいわ。自分は、前線に身を晒す必要はないし。
若手将校の中にも、敗戦を予知していた者が多くいたであろうが、敗戦しても、自分まで戦争責任を取らされて銃殺刑になるわけでなし。やり直しが効く。
意見を申して、殺されたり投獄されてなんになる。行け行けドンドンでいいじゃないか。
戦争で死ぬのは、国民という虫けらどもで、我々エリートの人間は、安全な部署で生き延びればいいのだ。
小生の頭脳が電卓とすれば、中央省庁のエリートの頭脳はスーパーコンピュータと言えるほど、凄いです。
役人を長年やっていて、彼らと接触し、つくづく、そう思いました。
小生は人間だが、彼らは宇宙人、エイリアンだ。これが、素直な感想です。
彼らから見れば、自分たちは人間だが、国民は、小うるさい、能なしの虫けらだ。と、思えるのではないのでしょうか。
こんなことから、先の大戦の敗戦を、自分勝手に、以上のように総括しています。
ブッシュ大統領も、気が「楽」な方法を採って、イラクに攻め入ったんですから。
古今東西、皆、変わりはないんじゃないかなあ。

官で働いておられただけあって、よく勉強をされており、楽しく、且つ、なるほどと感心しきりです。私も東京勤務の頃（平成初め）、日本化学工業協会に出かけ、日本の化学工業の将来についての勉強会(提言の場)に、3年間出席しました。年1回、通産省課長との懇親会がありましたが、自分達は偉く、特別の人間だとの態度で接し、見下されているとの思いをしてきました。軍の将校達も同じだったのだ、だから負け戦をしたのだと納得です。今の役人も我の強い人たちでしょうか。小泉総理に苦い思いをしているのでは？

お先真っ暗な世の中にあって、一つだけ明るいものがある、と、信じたいです。
昨年から今年の、２年間にわたる政局の動きです。
「小泉改革政権と虫けら連合軍」対「エイリアン」戦争です。
初戦は、昨年、衆議院選挙で連合軍の圧勝。
今年の本戦、夏の陣、参議院選挙。これほど、力の入る選挙は、かってないもの、と、小生は思います。
小泉改革を進めつつ、後継政権の枠組みが、さらなる改革路線を取れば、明るさが増します。
虫けらも頑張らねばなりません。引き続き、若い虫けらが投票行動に動いて欲しいです。
ここで、エイリアンの逆襲。
若い虫けらの総大将、ホリエモンを失脚させろ。
虫けらのみならず、小泉政権にもダメージを与えられるぞ。
連合軍、危うし。一歩後退、二歩交代。
戦局は、五分と五分。
小生、気に入らぬホリエモンであるが、ここは、トカゲの尻尾切りで切り抜けろ。
はたして、うまく行くのやら。
連日の新聞報道を見ると、ちと、心配になってきました。
近い内に、エイリアンの第２波、第３波攻撃があるかも。
政権交代の隙間をねらって、エイリアンが本腰を入れて自分たちだけの利権の維持強化を図ろうとしていると思わざるを得ない、今回のホリエモン騒動です。
